Learning to Advise Course for social prescribing link workers and similar roles.
Over recent years your feedback and reporting have shown that a significant proportion of social prescribing clients and those with mental health issues have issues with housing, welfare benefits claims, debt, cost of living, immigration and similar issues.
This free training has been designed to equip social prescribing link workers and similar roles in North East London with detailed knowledge of these issues, how to ask clients about them, understand the implications and how to support clients to access the right support and advice in their borough.
The course is studied over 12 half and full day on-line and in-person sessions between September 25 and February 26, with a time commitment of approx. 2 days a month.
The Learning to Advise course opens a career pathway to an enhanced social prescribing role with a specialism in social welfare advice, through the option of studying a follow-on training in 2026, which consists NVQ level 3 in Advice and Guidance with a training placement.
