After working as an independent Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing, I relocated to a new country, leaving behind my established professional identity and network. Transitioning into a different healthcare system required humility, resilience, and adaptability. I faced cultural, structural, and professional challenges while navigating new standards and expectations. Through perseverance, I rebuilt my credibility, advanced to a senior leadership role, and contributed to innovative service development and research. This journey strengthened my leadership, advocacy, and global perspective on nursing practice.
