Join us to celebrate the launch of the Neighbourhood Health Hub, a brand-new health centre from the University of East London.
The Hub is the UK’s first pioneering university centre that provides hospital-quality, integrated specialist care —beyond standard GP services and without requiring a hospital visit —with a dedicated focus on prevention and early intervention, all while training the next generation of healthcare professionals. It is a place where you can get free, high quality health services, and support to help you live a healthier life. We’re offering a “passport to good health” to local residents, with a special focus on three important goals:
Helping families to build healthier lives, starting in childhood.
Supporting people to get back to work and stay active.
Reducing health inequalities for everyone in our community.
Join us to learn more and share your ideas on how the Hub can best serve you and your family. We will also be hosting a mini health festival where you can get free health checks and explore some of the services on offer.
Panel Discussion: Voices from NHS leaders and clinicians, local government, academics, charities, community centres, and residents.
Worktable Sessions: Help shape priorities for prevention, community health activities, and collaborative use of space.
Shared Outcomes: Explore how community groups might be supported to use the Hub in the future, and agree next steps for healthier, fairer, and more connected neighbourhoods.
