DESCRIPTION:Thursday 8th September (on-line 9.30 – 11.30 am) & Thursday 15th September (9.30 am – 16.30 pm) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe date in BOLD indicates the mandatory practical session\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis course is open to:\n\nregistered nurses & registered midwives\nregistered nursing associates\nphysician associates registered on the Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)\nGeneral Medical Council (GMC) registered medical doctors\n\nIt is delivered in accordance with the NHS Cervical Screening Programme training guidelines and is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing \nThe theoretical training comprises of on-line modules\, Teams meetings\, & practical teaching delivered over a one-week period. Classroom teaching will take one full day and will be held at the London Regional Cytology Training Centre based at Northwick Park Hospital. \nFollowing on from this clinical practice & portfolio work\, under the supervision of a mentor\, will need to be completed with a final external assessment. NEL Training Hubs will be able to provide an external assessor for you. \nThe whole training registration pathway can take up to six months to complete and all components are compulsory for staff wishing to take cervical samples \nYour employers support is essential to complete this course. \nApplicants are advised to familiarise themselves with the current guidance for sample-taker training updated Feb 2020 – https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/cervical-screening-cervical-sample- taker-training \nThere are limited FREE places available and the course cost will be covered for you. DESCRIPTION:Overeaters Anonymous (OA) is a 12 step programme open to all\, and welcomes anyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. We have members who experience all sorts of disordered eating including overeating\, compulsive eating\, undereating and bulimia. \nThe session will include information about 12 step programmes in general and how they help people with addictions. DESCRIPTION:To support the implementation of the First Contact Practitioners/Advanced Practitioners in Primary Care – Roadmaps to Practice\, across the Thames Valley and Wessex Region\, we are delighted to be able to offer our next set of dates for the FCP/AP Roadmap Supervision and Verification Courses.\n\n\nWho is eligible to undertake this course? To become a FCP/AP Roadmap Supervisor you must meet the following criteria:\n\nBe a registered Healthcare Professional who is Advanced Practitioner\, a Consultant Practitioner (and hold a relevant MSc) or a GP. DESCRIPTION:To support the implementation of the First Contact Practitioners/Advanced Practitioners in Primary Care – Roadmaps to Practice\, across the Thames Valley and Wessex Region\, we are delighted to be able to offer our next set of dates for the FCP/AP Roadmap Supervision and Verification Courses. \n\n\n\n\nWho is eligible to undertake this course?\nTo become a FCP/AP Roadmap Supervisor you must meet the following criteria: \n\nBe a registered Healthcare Professional who is Advanced Practitioner\, a Consultant Practitioner (and hold a relevant MSc) or a GP. (GP Trainers who are also Educational Supervisors will soon be able to access a shortened version of this course via the e-Learning for Healthcare website and this will be advertised when this is available)\nRecently completed Equality and Diversity Training.It is recommended that you commit to supervise a minimum of 1 trainee FCP/AP in the first 6 months after completing this course to consolidate the training received.\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Dates 2022 \n\nCohort 6 – Friday 21st January & Tuesday 1st February\nCohort 7 – Friday 11th February & Monday 21st February\nCohort 8 – Friday 11th March & Tuesday 22nd March\n\nPlaces will be initially offered on a first come first served basis to those who work in the Thames Valley and Wessex region. \nThe courses will take place via Microsoft Teams and both days will run from 09:00 to 15:00. \n\n\n\n\nFor further information or to book your place please email: \nPrimaryCareTrgHub.WX@hee.nhs.uk \nNB.
