Adapting how we recruit and retain our workforce to respond to the post-pandemic ways of working will be crucial to building resilience within Primary Care. Now is the time to commit to reskilling and harnessing the interest generated from local communities. Developing this new muscle mass will strengthen us to address future disruptions but also opens the door and demystifies careers in health.
This programme seeks to build on a post pandemic world where people have reviewed and revalued their life priorities, are seeking more work opportunities nearer home and there is an opportunity to develop the assets within local communities who would have previously ruled themselves out of a role in health care.
With a focus on diversity, inclusion and widening participation from disadvantaged or underrepresented groups, we have created a series of podcast of people working within disadvantaged areas, areas of deprivation, areas that are a challenge to recruit.
Please feel free to share these videos with people that have an interest in joining Primary Care;
and signpost them to your local Training Hub for further queries.
