DESCRIPTION:Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) Training in North East London Primary and Social Care 2024-2025 \nThese courses are fully funded\, therefore please ensure you read the cancellation and DNA policy carefully before booking. \nBooking Link: https://forms.office.com/e/BD1SJazQkh \nPlease note: \n\nThe e-learning for new assessors is compulsory (you will not get your certificate until this is completed – it is best completed before the workshop).\nThe e-learning for existing mentors is recommended.\nThe training can be found here: PLPLG e-learning modules.\nYou will need to email your certificates to rozi.hamilton@gmail.com \n\nBooking Information \n\n• Ticket sales for all events close 2 weeks prior to the start of the session.\n• Please ensure you use the correct NHS email address (e.g. put all numbers in) – the login details for all sessions will be sent the email address provided.\n• Please be aware that you will receive an automated confirmation email to let you know that you have submitted the Form. THIS IS NOT CONFIRMATION THAT YOU ARE ON THE TRAINING. You will be informed by email if you are on the training or if you are on the waiting list. This is due to:\n1) The high volume of applications for some of the training\, which comes in at a faster rate than can be effectively managed in real time.\n2) Incomplete or missing information that means your application will be rejected.\n3) Finding that you have applied for inappropriate training for your job role.\n\nPreparing for the Training Session \n\n• Please check that you have received the joining link for your session at least 48hrs prior to the start date. If you ask for the login on the day of the event you may not receive it in time\, and this will count as a DNA.\n• If you are asked to provide an address for training materials\, please give your home address – they will not be sent to a work address.\n\nDuring the Training Session \n\n• Please login to your session a minimum of 10mins before the start time. If you cannot login and have not attempted to before the start of the session\, this will count as a DNA.\n• Please check that you have a working camera and microphone\, and that you are in a place where you can fully interact with the session. Mobile phone use is not accepted – you will be ejected from the training\, and it will count as a DNA.\n• If you login late\, you may not be accepted into the training\, and this will count as a DNA.\n• If you leave a session early you will not receive your certificate – depending on how early you leave\, this may count as a DNA.\n\nPrimary Care Cancellation and DNA Policy Cancellations \n\n• If you need to cancel\, please give a minimum of 5 working days’ notice (e.g. if the training is on Thursday\, you need to let us know by 5pm on Wednesday the week before) so that we have time to fill the space. If you do not\, this will count as a DNA.\n• To cancel\, you must email rebecca.amartey@nhs.net – do not email the trainer directly.\n• Once you have received confirmation that you have a place on the training session\, please liaise with your Practice Manager to organise your clinical schedule. Failure to do so\, without cancelling with 5 full working days’ notice\, will count as a DNA.\n\nDNA Policy \n\n• 1st DNA: You and your Manager will receive an email informing you that you have DNA’d a pre-booked session without cancellation.\n• 2nd DNA: You will automatically be removed from any further CPD training for the current financial year. You and your Manager will receive confirmation of this by email.\n• If you have to cancel your place later than 5 full working days prior to the start of the session\, please email rebecca.amartey@nhs.net explaining your exceptional circumstances\, and these will be taken into consideration when deciding whether it counts as a DNA.\n\nSocial Care Cancellation and DNA Policy Cancellations \n\n• If you need to cancel\, please give a minimum of 5 working days’ notice (e.g. if the training is on Thursday\, you need to let us know by 5pm on Wednesday the week before) so that we have time to fill the space.\n• To cancel\, you must email rebecca.amartey@nhs.net – do not email the trainer directly. Once you have received confirmation that you have a place on the training session\, please liaise with your Line Manager to organise your schedule.\n\nDNA Policy \n\n• If you DNA\, you will not be offered a place on a future SSSA training session.\n• If you have to cancel your place later than 5 full working days prior to the start of the session\, please email rebecca.amartey@nhs.net explaining your exceptional circumstances\, in order to be considered a place on a future date.

SUMMARY:Care Certificate Training (for HCAs and Aspiring HCAs in Primary Care) (3-day course 21 CPD hours)
DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO REGISTER \nThese courses are fully funded\, therefore please ensure you read the cancellation and DNA policy carefully before booking.  \nBooking Information  \nPlease ensure you use Microsoft Edge to complete the Form\, and that you login with your nhs.net email address (or you will get an error message) – the login details for all sessions will be sent to the email address provided.  \nPlease be aware that you will see an automated confirmation message screen to let you know that you have submitted the Form – you are advised to save your response\, as this will have the date you have applied for. This is not confirmation that you have a place on the training\, but at this time\, we would advise you to assume that you have a place on the training you have booked. This is to help you plan your clinical time\, as it is far easier to add in a clinic at a later date than remove one.  \nWe appreciate it is taking a while to get confirmation emails out to everyone at the moment\, and that this is frustrating. This is due to:  \n\n1) The high volume of applications for some of the training\, which comes in at a faster rate than can be effectively managed in real time. \n2) Having to chase incomplete or missing information on the booking Form. \n3) Having to check that applicants are registered with their professional body. \n4) Having to check that the applicants’ job role is covered by our funding agreement with NHSE (we have had a number of inappropriate applications). \n5) Dozens of cancellations or requests to change dates every week. \n\nPreparing for the Training Session  \nPlease check that you have received the joining link for your session at least 48hrs prior to the start date.  \nSometimes the joining link can end up in your junk email folder from external providers\, so please check this 1 week before the training if you have not received the link.  \nIf you ask for the login on the day of the event you may not receive it in time\, and this will count as a DNA.  \nYou may be sent some pre-training work which is essential to the smooth-running of the training session itself. Please ensure that you have completed this in good time.  \nIf you are asked to provide an address for training materials\, please give your home address – they will not be sent to a work address.  \nDuring the Training Session  \nPlease login to your session a minimum of 15mins before the start time. If you cannot login and have not attempted to before the start of the session\, this will count as a DNA.  \nPlease check that you have a working camera and microphone\, and that you are in a place where you can fully interact with the session.  \nMobile phone use is not accepted for attending training – you will be ejected from the training\, and it will count as a DNA. However\, some training will request mobile phone use for interactive elements\, such as quizzes.  \nIf you login late\, you may not be accepted into the training\, and this will count as a DNA.  \nIf you leave a session early you will not receive your certificate – depending on how early you leave\, this may count as a DNA.  \nCancellations  \nIf you need to cancel\, please give a minimum of 5 working days’ notice (e.g. if the training is on Thursday\, you need to let us know by 5pm on Wednesday the week before) so that we have time to fill the space. If you do not\, this will count as a DNA.  \nTo cancel\, you must email nelondonicb.cpd@nhs.net – do not email the trainer directly.  \nOnce you have received confirmation that you have a place on the training session\, please liaise with your Practice Manager to organise your clinical schedule. Failure to do so\, without cancelling with 5 full working days’ notice\, will count as a DNA.  \nDNA Policy  \n1st DNA: You and your Manager will receive an email informing you that you have DNA’d a pre-booked session without cancellation.  \n2nd DNA: You will automatically be removed from any further CPD training for the current financial year. You and your Manager will receive confirmation of this by email.  \nIf you have to cancel your place later than 5 full working days prior to the start of the session\, please email nelondonicb.cpd@nhs.net explaining your exceptional circumstances\, and these will be taken into consideration when deciding whether it counts as a DNA.  \nWe would like to make you aware of this Infection Control Training which is not provided or administered by us:  \nNHSE IPC Refresher Training for GP Practices – April 2024 to March 2025 – North East London (icb.nhs.uk)  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Introduction to Hypertension (for HCAs and Aspiring HCAs in Primary Care) (7.5 CPD hours)

SUMMARY:Immunisation Update Training (for HCAs and Aspiring HCAs in Primary Care) (2.5 CPD hours)
DESCRIPTION:  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER \nThese courses are fully funded\, therefore please ensure you read the cancellation and DNA policy carefully before booking. This is due to: \n\n1) The high volume of applications for some of the training\, which comes in at a faster rate than can be effectively managed in real time.\n2) Having to chase incomplete or missing information on the booking Form.\n3) Having to check that applicants are registered with their professional body.\n4) Having to check that the applicants’ job role is covered by our funding agreement with NHSE (we have had a number of inappropriate applications).\n5) Dozens of cancellations or requests to change dates every week.\n\nPreparing for the Training Session \nPlease check that you have received the joining link for your session at least 48hrs prior to the start date. \nWe would like to make you aware of this Infection Control Training which is not provided or administered by us: \nNHSE IPC Refresher Training for GP Practices – April 2024 to March 2025 – North East London (icb.nhs.uk) \n
