All courses are being held at Bernie Cameron Centre\, 32 Merchant St\, London E3 4LX \n(few mins walk from Bow Tube station) \nDo you want to become aware of the ways children at risk of suicide communicate their need for help? Do you want to learn to recognise factors that may increase suicide risk and those that may mitigate it? Do you wish to understand and be able to meet common challenges in working with parents to facilitate safety. Participants of The “ASK” WorkshopTM leave better equipped to reduce the risk of suicide and enlist help for young children \n\nWe are delighted to offer this face to face delivery of The ASK Workshop. Previous attendees to this training demonstrated a real desire to make a real difference to the suicide statistics and better help and support those who have been bereaved through suicide.\nAims of the training will be;\n• For delegates to feel confident supporting those who have been bereaved through Suicide\n• To be able to use appropriate language.\n• Understand what may and may not be helpful.\n• Be familiar and confident using The Help Is at Hand book.\n• Be able to signpost to other organisations who offer specialist support if required.\nYou will be required to provide a postal address for learning materials to be sent to you\nNote\, although the workshop is funded\, there will be DNA charge enforced if you fail to turn up following booking.

SUMMARY:Fear of Cancer Recurrence workshop

SUMMARY:NEL Green Primary Care Training
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to attend a series of online training sessions that will teach you about the connections between climate change and subsequent pressures on primary care. The North East London ICS has developed a Green Plan\, in which we committed to providing education and awareness to all primary care staff. \nJoin our Clinical Leads for Net Zero from Primary Care to learn about how the climate crisis is a health crisis and understand about how primary care transformation can help us reduce the NHS’s carbon footprint. \nThe first session takes place on 15 September and they are open to all clinical and non-clinical Primary Care colleagues working in North East London. It gives the chance for you to learn about the Greener NHS programme and for us to learn how betting engage you in delivering the Green Plan. \nThe dates and themes are:\n2022 \n\n15th September – Session 1: How does climate change impact on Primary Care?\n20th October – Session 2: Low carbon\, high quality asthma care.\n17th November – Session 3: Taking climate action in healthcare.\n15th December – Session 4: How climate change affects North East London.\n\n2023 \n\n19th January – Session 5: How to measure the carbon footprint in Primary Care.\n16th February – Session 6: Saving money by becoming a greener NHS.\n16th March – Session 7: Best of Net Zero in Primary Care.\n\nAll sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the NEL GP intranet but we encourage you to join the conversation live and attend in person.

SUMMARY:GP Supervisor Course
DESCRIPTION:HEE London GP School GP Educator Pathway\nThe GP Supervisors Course is mandatory for all GPs who wish to become educational supervisors\, or a placement named clinical supervisors in primary care. This includes those wanting to be the educational supervisor of GPs in specialty training (aka a GP trainer) or the named clinical supervisor for GP STs or foundation doctors in clinical placements in general practice. This interactive course runs over 11 weeks (3 hours contact per week) on a virtual platform and has approximately 45 hours’ time commitment (33 hours contact plus preparation).\nEligibility \nTo be eligible to apply\, participants will need to provide evidence of: \n\nBeing in a substantive GP post in London (Salaried GP or partner working a minimum of 4 clinical sessions a week)\nAt least 2 years post CCT (or equivalent)\nCapacity to attend all online sessions\nCapacity and support to train Foundation Doctors and/or GP specialty trainees within 1 year of completion\nEngagement with your local clinical and educational supervisor workshop.
