DESCRIPTION:Thrive LDN has secured funding from OHID London\, as part of their pan-London suicide prevention programme\, to pilot free suicide awareness and response training for GPs.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThey are inviting GPs\, ideally those with an interest in or a ‘champion’ for mental health and suicide prevention\, across all London boroughs to register their place in attending this 3.5-hour interactive webinar on either Tuesday 26th September 2023 or\n\nWednesday 27th September 2023 from 13:00hrs until 16:30hrs.\n\nThe training\, delivered by 4 Mental Health\, offers GPs the opportunity to enhance their response to people in distress or with suicidal thoughts by conferring qualification to use SAFETool which supports clinical suicide risk management. After the course\, SAFETool is available to download free on EMIS. DESCRIPTION:Various dates from June – November 2023 \nThis course will allow the space for participants to openly explore thoughts/feelings and to have open conversations about self-harm. Joining instructions will be send 48 hours prior to delivery date** \nTrainer Bio – Sarah Tahsildar\nSarah is a Qualified Social Worker and has over 15 years’ experience of working in the health and social care sector\, including domestic abuse services\, children centres\, adoption and fostering teams and homelessness services. Sarah now works as a Learning and Development Practitioner\, and the Mental Health faculty Lead for ‘Training for Mental Health’. Sarah has in recent years led on the delivery of Mental Health & Suicide Prevention training to the workforce of North East London. She is a licensed trainer of many national and internationally accredited programmes including Mental Health First Aid packages for Adult and Youth\, safeTALK\, ASIST\, Suicide First Aid and The ASK (assessing suicide in kids) Workshop. SUMMARY:Trauma Sensitive Approaches to Psychological Wellbeing: Taught Provision
DESCRIPTION:Teesside University in association with North East London Training Hub are pleased to invite applications for the final phase of the trauma training across North East London: Trauma Sensitive Approaches to Psychological Wellbeing taught course. \nThe course is designed for anyone who is interested in learning more about trauma and trauma informed care and would prefer a more traditional ‘taught’ approach to learning. The course has six full days (0930 – 1630) of scheduled online teaching over 12 weeks. You will be expected to attend all sessions. The content includes learning about trauma\, childhood trauma\, and the impact on an individual’s life. The impact of culture\, health inequalities\, and as well as providing you with tools to help support a trauma informed approach to your work. \nThe course has two routes: \n\nUCPPD (accredited) – upon successful completion of this route students will be awarded University Certificate in Professional Postgraduate Development and 20 level (M) credits. To pass this course students must achieve a minimum of 50% in the final assessment which is a 3000-word reflective essay. Students applying for this route should have studied at a minimum of degree level or equivalent (level 6)\nCPD route (non-accredited) – students will be awarded with a certificate of completion upon achieving 80% in an online quiz at the end of the module.
