DESCRIPTION:DESCRIPTION\nELFT NHS Trust & Newham Training Hub is excited to offer Venepuncture training to Newham Primary Care Staff.This training is appropriate as an initial training for staff in primary care settings who are required to undertake venepuncture or staff currently taking blood who are in need of an update.\n\nThe theoretical (T) part of the training is delivered virtually using Zoom.\nPractical training (P) is face to face in a *booked timed 1 hour slot between listed times.\n\nPlease note that participants will need to arrange supervised practice back at their place of work before they can undertake the skill independently.

DESCRIPTION:Please note: Day 1 & 3 will be face to face training delivered at:\nBernie Cameron Centre\, 32 Merchant Street\, E3 4LX \nDay 2 & 4 training will be delivered virtually\n\nThis programme is designed for staff in GP Practices who wish to become clinical HCA’s\, staff from community services and for Social Service staff in non-residential care settings. \nSince April 2015 all staff new to Health Care Support Worker roles need to complete the Care Certificate as part of their induction to the new clinical role.  This ensures they are aware of the behaviors and competencies expected of them and can provide high quality care. This Care Certificate Programme is delivered by a multi- professional teaching team from General Practice and Community Services. \nThis programme will cover the following standards: \n\n\nStandard 1: Understand your role\nStandard 2: Your personal development\nStandard 3: Duty of Care\nStandard 4: Equality and Diversity\nStandard 5: Person centred values\nStandard 6: Communication\nStandard 7: Privacy and Dignity\n\nStandard 8: Fluids and Nutrition\nStandard 9: Mental Health\, Dementia and Learning Disabilities\nStandard 10: Safeguarding Adults\nStandard 11: Safeguarding Children\nStandard 14: Handling Information\nStandard 15: Infection Prevention and Control\n\n\nPlease note Standard 12; Basic Life Support (practical training) and Standard 13 Health and Safety is not covered as it is a legal requirement that the employer provides this training. The employer must ensure that staff are appropriately trained in this area. Attendees are required to be assessed in practice by an assessor within 12 weeks following completion of the taught course. \nPlease note this training may be delivered online depending on current social distancing rules in the UK. \nThis course is fully funded for Newham & Tower Hamlets Staff.\n\n\nASSESSORS\nAttendees are required to be assessed in practice by an assessor within 12 weeksfollowing completion of the taught course. \nAssessors in practice are invited to attend a stand alone assessors training workshop (13:00 – 14:30 on Monday 27th September 2021). This session will cover an introduction to the Care Certificate and provide guidance on how to complete the workbook. \nN.B. Assessors must attend this session unless they have previous experience of Care Certificate training assessment. DESCRIPTION:North East London Health and Care Partnership invite staff from across public and voluntary sector organisations to participate in this 3 hour workshop to improve knowledge\, skills and understanding in supporting those bereaved through suicide. \nRosedale Funeral Training\, with 15 years experience\, will be delivering the workshops. Previous attendees to this training demonstrated a real desire to make a real difference to the suicide statistics and better help and support those who have been bereaved through suicide. SUMMARY:Supporting those bereaved through suicide
DESCRIPTION:North East London Health and Care Partnership invite staff from across public and voluntary sector organisations to participate in this 3 hour workshop to improve knowledge\, skills and understanding in supporting those bereaved through suicide. \nRosedale Funeral Training\, with 15 years experience\, will be delivering the workshops. Previous attendees to this training demonstrated a real desire to make a real difference to the suicide statistics and better help and support those who have been bereaved through suicide. Workshops are delivered online through the Zoom platform. \nAims of the training will be: \n\nFor delegates to feel confident supporting those who have been bereaved through Suicide\nTo be able to use appropriate language\nUnderstand what may and may not be helpful\nBe familiar and confident using The Help Is at Hand book\nBe able to signpost to other organisations who offer specialist support if requiredVarious workshop dates available from July 2021 onwards. DESCRIPTION:Did you know that menopausal women are the fastest growing population at work? Or that around 8 out of 10 menopausal women are in work?  What do you know about the menopause? Are you\, a member of your family\, friend or colleague experiencing menopause and want to know more? \nWhilst some women sail through menopause\, 3 out of 4 experience symptoms and as many as 1 in 4 have serious symptoms.
