SUMMARY:LMC MANDATORY VACCINATIONS SEMINARS
DESCRIPTION:Course Overview  From 1 April 2022\, health and social care providers in England will be required to ensure that certain workers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  Although the Regulations will not come into effect until 1 April 2022\, those in scope must have received their first dose of the vaccination by no later than 3 February 2022. This course will consider who and what settings are covered by the Regulations; and will provide practical guidance in relation to what steps you should be taking now to ensure “business as usual” and what can be done in response to those who are in scope but refuse to be vaccinated. Course Aims The course is intended to provide an overview to GPs and Practice Managers to understand who is likely to be covered by the new Regulations; and practical guidance in relation to the steps they should be taking now to manage risks arising\, particularly in relation to those who may be reluctant or who may refuse to be vaccinated. Learning Outcomes We will consider recent guidance published by NHS England on 14 January 2022. Delegates will understand who and what settings are caught by the Regulations; and what practical steps they should be taking now to engage with workers to ensure business as usual. Delegates will understand what steps they should be taking to manage those who refuse to be vaccinated and the risks associated with potential dismissals arising. SUMMARY:LMC MANDATORY VACCINATIONS SEMINARS
DESCRIPTION:Course Overview \nFrom 1 April 2022\, health and social care providers in England will be required to ensure that certain workers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  Although the Regulations will not come into effect until 1 April 2022\, those in scope must have received their first dose of the vaccination by no later than 3 February 2022. \nThis course will consider who and what settings are covered by the Regulations; and will provide practical guidance in relation to what steps you should be taking now to ensure “business as usual” and what can be done in response to those who are in scope but refuse to be vaccinated. \nCourse Aims\nThe course is intended to provide an overview to GPs and Practice Managers to understand who is likely to be covered by the new Regulations; and practical guidance in relation to the steps they should be taking now to manage risks arising\, particularly in relation to those who may be reluctant or who may refuse to be vaccinated. \nLearning Outcomes\nWe will consider recent guidance published by NHS England on 14 January 2022. Delegates will understand who and what settings are caught by the Regulations; and what practical steps they should be taking now to engage with workers to ensure business as usual. Delegates will understand what steps they should be taking to manage those who refuse to be vaccinated and the risks associated with potential dismissals arising. \nFormat\nPpt presentation\, scenarios\, \nPresenter(s)\nIan Pace\, Healthcare Employment Lawyer\, Weightmans LLP \n
