In addition to my education role\, I also practice as a GP in London. The University is embarking on an exciting initiative to establish a GMC-accredited MBBS undergraduate School of Medicine at the Stratford campus\, with the first cohort of students set to begin in 2027. As we develop this programme\, we aim to leverage the comprehensive resources of the UEL Health Campus to create enriching learning opportunities for local healthcare providers\, including both medical and Allied Health professionals. \nBuilding on the success of the workshop series as part of the Postgraduate Academy of Health education programme\, previously developed and delivered to our Health Fellows\, we are expanding these offerings to a broader audience. DESCRIPTION:Weds 10th July 2024 | Weds 25th Sept 2024 | Thurs 14th November 2024\nTues 21st Jan 2025 | Tues 27th Feb 2025 | Thurs 27 Mar 2025 \nOnly required to attend one day. Various locations \nDo you want to become aware of the ways children at risk of suicide communicate their need for help? Do you want to learn to recognise factors that may increase suicide risk and those that may mitigate it? Do you wish to understand and be able to meet common challenges in working with parents to facilitate safety. Participants of The “ASK” WorkshopTM leave better equipped to reduce the risk of suicide and enlist help for young children \nWe are delighted to offer this face to face delivery of The ASK Workshop. This one day workshop is targeted at staff working with and caring for children age 5 – 15 years of age. Click on the link below to access further information and dates available to book. There are limited FULLY FUNDED places available for staff working across North East London public sector. Book early to avoid disappointment. You will be contacted 7-10 days prior to the course start date with further information regarding this. This is mandatory for participating in the course. You will not be able to participate in the training without completing this prior to attending the course. \nFailure to turn up following registration will incur a £150 DNA charge. SUMMARY:Demystifying Self-Harm (Virtually delivered 3 hours)
DESCRIPTION:This course will allow the space for participants to openly explore thoughts/feelings and to have open conversations about self-harm. This workshop will allow the space for participants to have open conversations about self-harm\, including unpacking our own feelings and attitudes around self-harm (including thinking about our own faith\, beliefs\, life experience) and acknowledge them so that we are informed of how they may present and impact the support we provide. \nCLICK HERE for dates and more course details \nNOTE there is a £50 charge that will be enforced for failure to turn up following booking\, or cancellations less than 10 days prior to course.
