DESCRIPTION:Following our introductory People Promise Workshop (General Practice) and the upcoming People Promise Workshop 2 on 30th September\, we are pleased to invite you to register for a series of Learning Sessions focused on embedding the NHS People Promise within General Practice. \nEach session will explore a different theme\, offering practical advice\, tools\, and examples to support you and your teams in creating positive\, inclusive workplace cultures. \nWhether you’re new to this work or already beginning to embed the People Promise\, these sessions offer an opportunity to learn\, gain expert guidance\, and connect with others to share experiences and best practice. \nFurther events will follow in the coming months. \nWho should attend?\nAnyone working in General Practice who wants to contribute to a positive workplace culture and improve staff experience\, including\, but not limited to\, practice managers\, workforce or retention leads.  These sessions may also be of benefit to those in wider roles across primary care. \nHow to register:\nRegistration links for each session are listed below. SUMMARY:UEL Workshops - “Marijuana should be legalised"
DESCRIPTION:I am Professor Joanne Harris\, and I am delighted to have joined the University of East London this month as the new Dean of Medicine. In addition to my education role\, I also practice as a GP in London. The University is embarking on an exciting initiative to establish a GMC-accredited MBBS undergraduate School of Medicine at the Stratford campus\, with the first cohort of students set to begin in 2027. As we develop this programme\, we aim to leverage the comprehensive resources of the UEL Health Campus to create enriching learning opportunities for local healthcare providers\, including both medical and Allied Health professionals. \nBuilding on the success of the workshop series as part of the Postgraduate Academy of Health education programme\, previously developed and delivered to our Health Fellows\, we are expanding these offerings to a broader audience. As part of this initiative\, we will be hosting a series of lunchtime webinars covering a range of topics relevant to local healthcare providers. \nThe webinars will be conducted online and will run from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
