SUMMARY:NEL CPD: Men’s Health (CPD FOR GPNS\, NAS\, DIETICIANS\, PARAMEDICS\, PHYSIOTHERAPISTS\, PODIATRISTS AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS)
DESCRIPTION:This half-day workshop is focused on the application of best practices in primary care for men’s health\, supporting healthcare professionals in integrating men’s health into routine primary care consultations. The workshop will begin by considering broad issues around inequalities in men’s health and key barriers that prevent men from accessing primary care services\, before taking a deeper dive into specific clinical topics in relation to men’s health\, including cardiovascular disease\, bowel cancer and aortic aneurysm screening programmes\, and prostate and testicular health checks. SUMMARY:Supporting primary care to deliver earlier diagnosis for suspected bowel cancer patients
DESCRIPTION:Join Bowel Cancer UK’s first ever primary care virtual education event on Thursday 19 June 2025\, delivered online via Zoom\, 6.30 – 7.30pm. The session will be led by Claire Coughlan\, Clinical Lead at Bowel Cancer UK and Nurse Consultant in colorectal cancer at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Claire will be joined by Dr Anisha Patel who will deliver a short session exploring cancer care reviews within primary care.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe session will provide an overview of colorectal cancer\, its risk factors and red flag symptoms. As well as the use of FIT in symptomatic patients within primary care and the bowel cancer screening programme as a route to diagnosis.
