DESCRIPTION:(CPD FOR GPNS\, NAS\, DIETICIANS\, PARAMEDICS\, PHYSIOTHERAPISTS\, PODIATRISTS AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS)\n\n• Refresh on the anatomy of the skin and its function\n• Explore how wounds heal\n• Be orientated to wound assessment using a structured framework\n• Learn about dressing selection for common wounds seen in general practice and primary care\n• Recognise the risks for developing wound infection\n• Be familiar with the signs and symptoms of wound infection including biofilms\n• Examine the appropriate use of wound dermal bed swabbing (indications and technique) and tissue sampling\n• Recognising when antimicrobial treatment is indicated and on balance the importance of guardianship\n• Be familiar with the topical antimicrobial options and their mode of action\n• Recognise the steps required to reduce the risk of wound infection and sepsis prevention\n\n\n\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
