DESCRIPTION:Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) Training in North East London Primary and Social Care 2024-2025 \nThese courses are fully funded\, therefore please ensure you read the cancellation and DNA policy carefully before booking. \nBooking Link: https://forms.office.com/e/BD1SJazQkh \nPlease note: \n\nThe e-learning for new assessors is compulsory (you will not get your certificate until this is completed – it is best completed before the workshop).\nThe e-learning for existing mentors is recommended.\nThe training can be found here: PLPLG e-learning modules.\nYou will need to email your certificates to rozi.hamilton@gmail.com \n\nBooking Information  \n\n• Ticket sales for all events close 2 weeks prior to the start of the session.\n• Please ensure you use the correct NHS email address (e.g. put all numbers in) – the login details for all sessions will be sent the email address provided.\n• Please be aware that you will receive an automated confirmation email to let you know that you have submitted the Form. THIS IS NOT CONFIRMATION THAT YOU ARE ON THE TRAINING. You will be informed by email if you are on the training or if you are on the waiting list. DESCRIPTION:I am Professor Joanne Harris\, and I am delighted to have joined the University of East London this month as the new Dean of Medicine. In addition to my education role\, I also practice as a GP in London. The University is embarking on an exciting initiative to establish a GMC-accredited MBBS undergraduate School of Medicine at the Stratford campus\, with the first cohort of students set to begin in 2027. As we develop this programme\, we aim to leverage the comprehensive resources of the UEL Health Campus to create enriching learning opportunities for local healthcare providers\, including both medical and Allied Health professionals. \nBuilding on the success of the workshop series as part of the Postgraduate Academy of Health education programme\, previously developed and delivered to our Health Fellows\, we are expanding these offerings to a broader audience. As part of this initiative\, we will be hosting a series of lunchtime webinars covering a range of topics relevant to local healthcare providers. \nThe webinars will be conducted online and will run from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Do you want to learn to recognise factors that may increase suicide risk and those that may mitigate it? Do you wish to understand and be able to meet common challenges in working with parents to facilitate safety. Participants of The “ASK” WorkshopTM leave better equipped to reduce the risk of suicide and enlist help for young children \nWe are delighted to offer this face to face delivery of The ASK Workshop. SUMMARY:UEL Workshops - “Assisted dying legislation- what does the public want?”
DESCRIPTION:I am Professor Joanne Harris\, and I am delighted to have joined the University of East London this month as the new Dean of Medicine. In addition to my education role\, I also practice as a GP in London. The University is embarking on an exciting initiative to establish a GMC-accredited MBBS undergraduate School of Medicine at the Stratford campus\, with the first cohort of students set to begin in 2027. As we develop this programme\, we aim to leverage the comprehensive resources of the UEL Health Campus to create enriching learning opportunities for local healthcare providers\, including both medical and Allied Health professionals. \nBuilding on the success of the workshop series as part of the Postgraduate Academy of Health education programme\, previously developed and delivered to our Health Fellows\, we are expanding these offerings to a broader audience. As part of this initiative\, we will be hosting a series of lunchtime webinars covering a range of topics relevant to local healthcare providers. \nThe webinars will be conducted online and will run from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays or Thursdays. DESCRIPTION:I am Professor Joanne Harris\, and I am delighted to have joined the University of East London this month as the new Dean of Medicine. In addition to my education role\, I also practice as a GP in London. The University is embarking on an exciting initiative to establish a GMC-accredited MBBS undergraduate School of Medicine at the Stratford campus\, with the first cohort of students set to begin in 2027. As we develop this programme\, we aim to leverage the comprehensive resources of the UEL Health Campus to create enriching learning opportunities for local healthcare providers\, including both medical and Allied Health professionals. \nBuilding on the success of the workshop series as part of the Postgraduate Academy of Health education programme\, previously developed and delivered to our Health Fellows\, we are expanding these offerings to a broader audience. As part of this initiative\, we will be hosting a series of lunchtime webinars covering a range of topics relevant to local healthcare providers. \nThe webinars will be conducted online and will run from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays or Thursdays. DESCRIPTION:With lunch provided\, in Leyton\, open to all WF Social Prescribers and Link workers and NEL Social Prescribers. \nIf you are interested in attending this face to face training in Leyton E10\, please email\, Social.prescribing@walthamforest.gov.uk  \nMotivational Interviewing (MI) training helps practitioners/Link workers develop a person-centred approach to counselling\, guiding clients to explore their own motivations for change. It focuses on building rapport\, eliciting change talk\, and supporting clients in their journey toward desired behaviours.
