SUMMARY:CVD Risk Communication: Time to get it right
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW \nWe are delighted to announce an exciting collaboration between the University of Staffordshire\, HEART UK and Smart Health Solutions to develop and deliver new CVD Risk training.We will be holding a free online event to showcase what we already know about communicating CVD risk and the current challenges\, and to explore together how to improve the communication of CVD risk. \nContext:\nCommunicating CVD risk is critical to improving CVD outcomes and reducingCVD-related health inequalities\, both within NHS Health Checks and for people with established CVD and long term conditions. Yet we know from RICO study\,our anecdotal observations and discussions during training that the quality ofthis varies enormously. \nSession One\nWhat we already know about CVD risk communication and how it is being delivered currently. \nSession Two\nWhat are the practical challenges and potential solutions for improving CVD risk communication. \nSession Three\nConsider how we can evaluate the training to ensure NHS workforce are competent communicators of CVD risk.
