SUMMARY:Certificate in Environmental Skills for the Workforce course
DESCRIPTION:This one day course is designed and certified by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)\, and delivered by ICS colleagues\, to equip leaners with practical introduction to environmental sustainability. This will equip you with the knowledge\, understanding and motivation to make positive contributions towards addressing the current environmental emergencies and delivering your organisations Green Plan. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe full day sessions are delivered online via MS Teams\, on the following dates:\n\nDates\, all 09:00 to 17:00 Hours (7 hours):\n• Tuesday 25 June \n• Wednesday 10 July \n• Thursday 26 September \n• Thursday 14 November.\n\nKey Features of the Course:\n• No prior environmental knowledge required – this open to all staff from any health and care profession \n• Digital workbook supplied for learners to keep \n• Practical activities and workshops throughout the session \n• At the end of the course\, an accredited IEMA certificate is awarded to all those that attain a minimum score of 70% in the online multiple-choice assessment.\n\nLearning Outcomes\nOn successful completion of this course leaners will have knowledge and understanding of:\n• the main environmental and economic risks and opportunities \n• compliance obligations and business drivers for change \n• the main potential impacts on environment and sustainability \n• how to improve environmental performance.\n\nRegistration & Further Information\nTo book your place please sign up here. SUMMARY:The ASK Workshop: Assessing for Suicide in Kids (face to face)
DESCRIPTION:Weds 10th July 2024 | Weds 25th Sept 2024 | Thurs 14th November 2024\nTues 21st Jan 2025 | Tues 27th Feb 2025 | Thurs 27 Mar 2025 \nOnly required to attend one day. Various locations \nDo you want to become aware of the ways children at risk of suicide communicate their need for help? Do you want to learn to recognise factors that may increase suicide risk and those that may mitigate it? Do you wish to understand and be able to meet common challenges in working with parents to facilitate safety. Participants of The “ASK” WorkshopTM leave better equipped to reduce the risk of suicide and enlist help for young children \nWe are delighted to offer this face to face delivery of The ASK Workshop. This one day workshop is targeted at staff working with and caring for children age 5 – 15 years of age. Click on the link below to access further information and dates available to book. There are limited FULLY FUNDED places available for staff working across North East London public sector. Book early to avoid disappointment. DESCRIPTION:Wed 18th Sept 1000 – 1300 \nWed 25th Sept 1300 – 1600 \nFri 04th Oct 1000 – 1300 \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER \nNEL Training Hub are pleased to collaborate with BSL Now and invite staff from GP Teams across North East London to book on one of the Deaf Awareness workshops above. The sessions are delivered virtually via Teams over 3 hours. \nAn introduction to Deafness\nExploring social aspects of Deafness including tips and advice when communicating with deaf people\nIntroduction to some basic BSL training\, finger spelling\, general useful signs and phrases\, again linked to settings and requirements \nJoining links will be shared 48 hours prior to delivery dates.
