SUMMARY:NEL CPD: Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment Training
DESCRIPTION:This training is for staff who will be supporting Nursing learners\, and counts as an NMC approved course to support learners on NMC registered courses (Pre registration Nurse training\, SPQ District Nursing and Health visitor pathways). \n\nIf you are not a nurse you will not be able to act in the capacity as a Practice Assessor however the training will prepare you for the practice supervisor role.\n\nStaff who have undertaken the ENB 998 or mentorship preparation courses need to attend the session from 09:00 to 14:00.\nStaff who have already completed the Practice Supervisor Training need to attend the session from 11:30 to 14:00\nStaff who have not already completed one of the above courses will need to attend from 9:00 – 16:00.\n\n\nAll sessions will be held virtually via MS Teams – the link to join the session will be sent closer to the date. \nParticipants will need to complete the following e-learning modules prior to the course: \n\n\nUnderstanding students\nRoles and responsibilities\nAssessing learning needs\nAssessing learning in Practice\nGiving feedback\nCoaching skills\n\n– These resources can be accessed by clicking on the following link https://plplg.uk/e-learning-resources/\n– Please provide evidence of completion by sending a PDF of your certificates (or a phone picture) to Rozi Hamilton: rozi.hamilton@gmail.com before the training date\n– Please contact Rozi Hamilton for more information – rozi.hamilton@gmail.com\n– More details and FAQ on SSSA training can be found HERE.\n\nREGISTER HERE
