Various locations \nDo you want to become aware of the ways children at risk of suicide communicate their need for help? Do you want to learn to recognise factors that may increase suicide risk and those that may mitigate it? Do you wish to understand and be able to meet common challenges in working with parents to facilitate safety. Participants of The “ASK” WorkshopTM leave better equipped to reduce the risk of suicide and enlist help for young children \nWe are delighted to offer this face to face delivery of The ASK Workshop. This one day workshop is targeted at staff working with and caring for children age 5 – 15 years of age. Click on the link below to access further information and dates available to book. There are limited FULLY FUNDED places available for staff working across North East London public sector. Book early to avoid disappointment. SUMMARY:Admin\, Reception & Managers: Advanced Medical Terminology (3.5 hours)
DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO REGISTER  \nOverview: Virtual workshop for those who have the undertaken the Introduction to Medical Terminology who have a good understanding of the component parts of medical terminology. Use of a standard set of terms and phrase is critical for clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals in order to enable universally consistent communications within the practice and across the Primary Care Network and the wider health services. The use of standardised medical terminology also helps improve the quality of patient care by ensuring that the same words will always mean the same things to all medical employees.  \nAll participants will be able to apply the learning to every-day situations back in the practice. The workshop builds on the skills of the administration\, clerical and clinical support staff and will enhance their understanding of medical terminology. It provides a continuation of the professional development for staff working in a clinical environment such as HCAs\, physiotherapy assistants\, assistant practice managers\, practice pharmacy assistants\, and those responsible for clinical coding etc. Participants will further enhance their confidence\, their communication skills and service delivery. Patients and their carers can also benefit from enhanced knowledge and insight of the relevant medical terminology.  \nAll delegates will be provided with course handouts and will be issued with a certificate of attendance after the workshop.  \nLearning Outcomes  \nParticipants will expand their knowledge of abbreviations\, root words\, suffixes & prefixes and will develop their understanding into a wider-range of diseases\, physiology\, anatomy and all of the bodies systems. DESCRIPTION:Open to staff working in General Practice in North East London \nNEL Training Hub are pleased to offer this new 6 day programme to new and aspiring Practice and PCN managers. The programme delivered online commences on the 25th Sept\, with final session on 4th December. Each session has a mixture of practical/interactive exercises. All learners on the programme have access to 1:1 coaching input throughout the programme virtually.
