SUMMARY:Fear of Cancer Recurrence
DESCRIPTION:NTT is working jointly with Barts Cancer & Palliative Care Psychological Services to Fear of Cancer Recurrence workshopon Thursday 16th March 10.30am-12.30pm face-to-face at Vicarage Lane Health Centre\, E15 4ES. Macmillan Cancer Support service from Newham University Hospital will be supporting the workshop too. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho is it for?The workshop is aimed at adults (18+) living\, working or studying in Newham who havecompleted active cancer treatment(surgery\, chemotherapy\, radiotherapy) withcurative intentand are either discharged from the hospital/ under OAFU or being seen intermittently in a follow up clinic. \n\n\n\n\nWhat can you expect and gain from the workshop?The content will focus on how it is normal to worry about cancer coming back after treatment\, teaching strategies to deal with these worries and flagging up where people can go to get more advice and support if needed (eg their cancer teams\, Macmillan\, IAPT)\n\n\n\n\nPeople who won’t be suitable for the workshop (exclusion criteria):People who are currently undergoing active cancer treatment (surgery\, chemotherapy\, radiotherapy)\, People with stage IV/ advanced disease\,People who are receiving/ have received palliative treatment\n\n\n \nTo register for the workshop email:elft.nttworkshops@nhs.netorcomplete the registration form by clicking here– if the name of the workshop is not on the form\, please select ‘Other’ and write down ‘Fear of Cancer Recurrence’.\nWe would really appreciate if you can help to spread the word and share the attached leaflet to appropriate colleagues\, parents\, students and anyone else who you think might benefit from this – we will also be sharing the workshop on our socials too \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease get in touch with Jayshree (jayshree.pithia@nhs.net) if you have any questions or queries

DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to attend a series of online training sessions that will teach you about the connections between climate change and subsequent pressures on primary care. The North East London ICS has developed a Green Plan\, in which we committed to providing education and awareness to all primary care staff. \nJoin our Clinical Leads for Net Zero from Primary Care to learn about how the climate crisis is a health crisis and understand about how primary care transformation can help us reduce the NHS’s carbon footprint. \nThe first session takes place on 15 September and they are open to all clinical and non-clinical Primary Care colleagues working in North East London. It gives the chance for you to learn about the Greener NHS programme and for us to learn how betting engage you in delivering the Green Plan. \nThe dates and themes are:\n2022 \n\n15th September – Session 1: How does climate change impact on Primary Care?\n20th October – Session 2: Low carbon\, high quality asthma care.\n17th November – Session 3: Taking climate action in healthcare.\n15th December – Session 4: How climate change affects North East London.\n\n2023 \n\n19th January – Session 5: How to measure the carbon footprint in Primary Care.\n16th February – Session 6: Saving money by becoming a greener NHS.\n16th March – Session 7: Best of Net Zero in Primary Care.\n\nAll sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the NEL GP intranet but we encourage you to join the conversation live and attend in person.

DESCRIPTION:DESCRIPTION\nELFT NHS Trust & Newham Training Hub is excited to offer Venepuncture/Phlebotomy training to Newham Primary Care Staff. This training is appropriate as an initial training for staff in primary care settings who are required to undertake venepuncture or staff currently taking blood who are in need of an update.\n\nThe theoretical (T) part of the training is delivered virtually using Zoom.\nPractical training (P) is face to face in a *booked timed 1 hour slot between listed times.\nPlease note that participants will need to arrange supervised practice back at their place of work before they can undertake the skill independently.\n\nREGISTRATIONS\nNew to skill\nFor GPNs and HCSW in Newham primary care settings who are new to venepuncture and are/will be required to undertake this skill in practice.
