SUMMARY:The ASK workshop: Assessing for Suicide in Kids (face to face)
DESCRIPTION:Only required to attend one day. All courses are being held at Bernie Cameron Centre\, 32 Merchant St\, London E3 4LX \n(few mins walk from Bow Tube station) \nDo you want to become aware of the ways children at risk of suicide communicate their need for help? Do you want to learn to recognise factors that may increase suicide risk and those that may mitigate it? Do you wish to understand and be able to meet common challenges in working with parents to facilitate safety. Participants of The “ASK” WorkshopTM leave better equipped to reduce the risk of suicide and enlist help for young children \n\nWe are delighted to offer this face to face delivery of The ASK Workshop. This one day workshop is targeted at staff working with and caring for children age 5 – 15 years of age. Click on the link below to access further information and dates available to book. There are limited FULLY FUNDED places available for staff working across North East London.Book early to avoid disappointment. You will be contacted 7-10 days prior to the course start date with further information regarding this. This is mandatory for participating in the course. You will not be able to participate in the training without completing this prior to attending the course. \nFailure to turn up following registration will incur a £150 DNA charge. DESCRIPTION:DESCRIPTION\nELFT NHS Trust & Newham Training Hub is excited to offer Venepuncture/Phlebotomy training to Newham Primary Care Staff. This training is appropriate as an initial training for staff in primary care settings who are required to undertake venepuncture or staff currently taking blood who are in need of an update.\n\nThe theoretical (T) part of the training is delivered virtually using Zoom.\nPractical training (P) is face to face in a *booked timed 1 hour slot between listed times.\nPlease note that participants will need to arrange supervised practice back at their place of work before they can undertake the skill independently.\n\nREGISTRATIONS\nNew to skill\nFor GPNs and HCSW in Newham primary care settings who are new to venepuncture and are/will be required to undertake this skill in practice. DESCRIPTION:Background: The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the range of circumstances in which children may become cared for away from home.
