• Reflections from Living Wage Employers in primary care on implementing the real Living Wage
• The context in London to support local communities to thrive and survive
• Worker, business, patient and public health benefits to paying the real Living Wage
• Common challenges and solutions
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate based on the cost of living and is currently £12.60 per hour and £13.85 per hour in London. Accredited Living Wage Employers choose to pay the rate to directly employed staff, as well as regularly contracted third-party staff.
You can find out more about becoming a Living Wage Employer on the Living Wage Foundation’s website and make use of the NHS toolkit for information specific to health employers, case studies and more. If you would like to talk to a member of the Living Wage Foundation team about joining the Living Wage movement, please email bethan.spacey@livingwage.org.uk.
As part of NHS London’s ambitions to support the payment of the London Living Wage, colleagues from the NHS London Anchor Programme are supporting this event.
