To recruit a foundation trainee pharmacist for the 2026-27 foundation training year, potential employers must register with the National Recruitment Scheme by 1 March 2025.
The National Recruitment Scheme is the only route to employing a foundation trainee pharmacist; employers are unable to recruit trainees directly.
Funding available to employers will be £26,500 per trainee per annum pro rata, across all sectors of practice.
If you have questions directly related to employing a foundation trainee pharmacist in 2026-27, or the process of registration with the National Recruitment Scheme, please join one of our on-line drop-in sessions, each intended as a Q&A.
