Opportunity:
One-week foundation trainee pharmacist (FTP) cross-sector placement in general practice (April–May 2024).
Background:
Building on the success of the past two years’ collaboration between Newham Training Hub and Barts Health NHS Trust, this opportunity is now open to practices across North East London.

Purpose:

Provide FTPs with insights into the role of practice/PCN pharmacists.

Showcase pharmacists’ contributions to patient care within multidisciplinary teams.

Support FTPs’ career development and strengthen the future primary care workforce.
Requirements:

Practices must host an FTP for a 1-week clinical placement.

A practice-based pharmacist must supervise the trainee.

Note: This placement is currently unfunded but offers an opportunity to shape future pharmacists’ aspirations and career development.
