Free training for healthcare professionals on urgent laryngectomy care
Free training day on a choice of dates in February/March 2025 at City St George’s (Clerkenwell campus). This training is open to healthcare professionals working with people with laryngectomy regularly, and those who come into contact with laryngectomy patients out in the community, including community nurses.
Do you work with people with laryngectomy, either regularly or as part of emergency care?
- Are you confident in managing urgent laryngectomy airway and voice prosthesis issues?
- Would you like to strengthen your clinical skills while supporting the development of a new, practical training programme?
The training day includes:
- Simulation scenarios
- Expert patient interaction
- Skills-based sessions & reflective practice
- Augmented reality and prosthetics
- Knowledge and confidence checks
