Monthly HWB call – Free Experian Work Report & Free Money Clinics
We were joined by Laura Hughes, Lisa Ash and John Webb from Experian to tell us about the free Experian Work Report and Free Money Clinics.
If you missed the monthly HWB call you can watch the recording here. The slides can be found here. You can find a short overview of the Experian Work Report here.
About Experian Work Report
Experian’s Work Report supports financial wellbeing by enabling employees to digital verify their income and/or employment by using data in their HR/Payroll system. The key benefit for the NHS is that Work Report can support employees who are new-to-country and have a thin credit profile to easily evidence their income and employment, getting better access to financial products as a result. It will also help to reduce your HR team’s work load from fewer requests for proof of employment letters or payslips.
Experian are in the final stages of launching an Oracle connector that will enable NHS Trusts using Oracle to utilise Work Report. There is no direct cost to Trusts or employees to enable this service, other than any internal reviews that you need to undertake for sign-off – any integration costs will be covered by Experian. Please email lisa.ash@experian.com for more information or to express interest in using the service.
About Free Money Clinics
John Webb explained how the money clinics work during our call so please watch the recording to find out more. If you would like to find out how you can run the free money clinics at your trust please contact John Webb, Senior Consumer Affairs Manager by emailing john.webb@experian.com

Winter Wellbeing: Seasonal Stress advice from OTBM
With shorter days, colder weather, and the pressures of year-end deadlines, many employees experience heightened stress, fatigue, and even Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This can impact productivity, engagement, and overall wellbeing.
Here’s how you can help:
- Promote Flexible Working: Allowing employees to adjust their schedules or work remotely can alleviate some of the pressure and support work-life balance.
- Offer Mental Health Resources: Ensure employees know where to access support, whether through EAPs, wellbeing workshops, or mental health first aiders.
- Encourage Breaks and Downtime: Remind teams to prioritise rest and take time off before the holiday rush. A well-rested team is a more engaged team!
Latest survey from the NHS Confederation Health and Care LGBTQ+ Leaders Network: The illusion of inclusion? LGBTQ+ staff experience in healthcare
Survey findings from the NHS Confed’s Health and Care LGBTQ+ Leaders Network show that LGBTQ+ staff across health and care are continuing to experience greater levels of discrimination in the workplace.

NHS support available to survivors of sexual violence
As the world marks 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we’re highlighting NHS support available to survivors of sexual violence. Three quarters of the NHS workforce are female and one in 13 women and one in 500 men have been a victim of rape or sexual assault. Support is available for colleagues affected by sexual misconduct.
Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) offer confidential, specialist care for all, with no limits of when the sexual assault took place. Make sure your teams know about SARCs NHS.uk/sarcs.
Our Sexual misconduct policy framework is for local NHS organisations to adopt and adapt.
An Inclusive Festive Season
For many, December is a time of celebration but not everyone observes the same holidays or finds joy in this season. To ensure your workplace remains inclusive:
- Acknowledge Diverse Celebrations: Highlight different cultural and religious holidays such as Chanuka, Kwanzaa, or Winter Solstice, and invite employees to share their traditions.
- Rethink Holiday Events: Consider alternative celebrations that aren’t centred around alcohol or specific holidays. Opt for inclusive, low-pressure activities like charity drives, volunteering, or wellness-focused events.
- Check in with employees: The holiday season can trigger feelings of isolation or grief. A simple check-in can make a world of difference.
